Bath Salt – Sports Relief

Bath Salt – Sports Relief

Bath salts are very easy to make! Learn to make a sports relief bath salt in this simple recipe.

What you need

1 cup Epsom salts
4-5 drops Food Coloring
2 drops of wintergreen essential oil
2 drops of eucalytpus essential oil
1 drop of peppermint essential oil

Instructions

For a frugal alternative to Epsom salts you can use a fine grade pool rock salt. Just substitute the Epsom salts in all our bath salt recipes for frugal pool salt.

Add all the ingredients together and mix well.

Make sure the food color blends in to the salt or it wont look very inviting. You can do this by tossing the salt over and over again.

Add dried rose petals or lavender sprigs for a natural presentation.

Add your bath salts to a decorative jar and place a small wooden spoon inside for a great inexpensive gift.

Epsom salts and Magnesium salts are not quite the same things. Epsom salts are Magnesium Sulphate and Magnesium flakes/salts are Magnesium Chloride. So what does that mean for you?

Epsom salt is harder to absorb into the body than a straight magnesium flake. But either is going to do wonders for your body and once you use either of them, you never go back! Either of them are great for the body and mind. They help relax muscles and relieve pain in the body and can promote sleep while also helping to stabilize your mood and relieve stress, anxiety, and depression. Something we all need help with!
