Across The Miles Tea Poem

Across The Miles Tea Poem

This project is a great little gift for those far away from us. It comes with a set of poems that you can use depending on the situation.

What you need

Card stock
Glue
Printed Poem
Tea Bag

Instructions

Start by cutting out a tea pot shape and attaching the tea bag to the inside along with a copy of your chosen poem from below.

We also have another version of this tea poem especially for christmas which comes with a pine cone tree: Christmas Tea Poem.

Overseas Poem

There are too many miles between us
for me to get to you.
So I am sending you a tea bag and this will
have to do.
So make your self a cup of tea
and when you drink it
I’ll think of you and
you think of me
together sharing a cup of tea.

Friends Poem

I cannot sit and chat with you,
the way I’d like to do.
So brew yourself a cup of tea,
I’ll think of you, you think of me.

Feeling Sad

When you are feeling sad & blue
And have no clue what to do
Sit down and have a cup of tea

And a hug or two or maybe three
Feel those troubles melt away
And start you on a better day.

Tea Cures All

Tea that helps our head and heart.
Tea medicates most every part.
Tea rejuvenates the very old.
Tea warms the hands of those who’re cold.

(J. Jonker, Amsterdam circa 1670 )

Troubles

If I could take your Troubles,
I would toss them in the Sea.
But since I can’t, I’m sending you,
My favorite cup of tea.

  1. brilltani, but I think I will try and find some sealed t.bags.

  2. I think it’s great, but does it come with a teapot template please?

    • Helen White says

Hello! Cut 2 pieces of fabric larger than a tea bag,put fabric on fold so would only have one side seam to sew. Before sewing bottom right sides together, fold over the other end to hem top. Make it wide enough to slide some ribbon through to enclose tea in bag. Now sew bottom and side seam leaving top open to put ribbon through.
