Teacup Floral Arrangement

Teacup Floral Arrangement

This makes a very adaptable yet simple project. It can either make a nice decoration for a special occasion or as a charming gift for someone.

What you need

Antique Teacup (the prettier the better – Antique Stores and Charity Shops are great places to look for them.)
Bouquet Flowers (any colour and any type, as long as the stalk is strong.)
Sharp Scissors.
Saucer (optional.)
Ribbon (Optional)
Craft Foam Ball (Optional.)

Instructions

This makes a very adaptable yet simple project. It can either make a nice decoration for a special occassion or as a charming gift for someone.

Start by putting your chosen teacup on a flat surface. This will make it easier for you to judge what length the flowers need to be to fit into the teacup.

Cut your flowers until they are the desired length to fit into your teacup. Put them in together to see if they can stand unassisted (won’t fall out of the cup.)

If they fall out of the cup, you have multiple options. You can cut the stalks a little shorter just in case they were a little bit too tall. You can also use a ribbon to tie the stalks together if your teacup will allow it. Or you can get a craft foam ball, flatten one edge of that, put a little hot glue into the bottom of the cup and stick it down, allowing the flowers to stand easily.

Put some water in the teacup to keep the flowers healthy, if you have the saucer, put the teacup onto that, then put it in a nice place and you’re done
