  1. Wow! I have one that my Nan knitted about 30 years ago – it only gets used for special occasions in our house! So glad to have inherited it – might have to have a go at making one of my own too!

  2. I’ve actually seen these on sale in Liberty in London, I think they were going for about £40 each. I remember having this pattern from the “The Knitting Collection” too back in the eighties.

  3. I made this cosy with WW wool a while back and it came very nice.

  4. Very cute little project! I decided to to more embroidered flowers around doors and windows. Thanks for posting!

  5. I just picked up vintage knitting binders today at a book sale. They were published by Golden Press and are titled “The Knitting Collection.” This pattern and exact picture are included. Many other cool retro patterns for home and family.

  6. I love the detail..not for my home, but I know many others that would really appreciate something like this for their collections..

  7. CraftBits (Shellie Wilson) says

Guest: this is a vintage pattern taken from a vintage magazine.

  8. Hi, I was wonderring where you’ve got the pattern. Ican swear that I was selling identical cozies to this one on ebay about 2 years ago.

  9. Fantastic!! How cute and kitsch

  10. Problem was finding yarn (US sport/baby yarn)in colors other than pastels. Used some stashed Wool-Ease sport for roof & baby white for sides. Worked the details in emb. floss. Going to try a crochet version also. Hope it turns out as nicely as this.
