A tatting shuttle.

Depth of collar at centre front: 3 inch

TENSION
5 rings measure 1 and half inch

TO MAKE
1st row: tie ball and shuttle threads together. R. of 4 d.s., 3 ps. sep. by 4 d.s., 4 d.s., cl., r.w. *Ch. of 4 d.s.. p., 4 d.s., r.w.
R. of 4 d.s., join to last p. of previous r.,
4 d.s., 2 ps. sep. by 4 d.s., 4 d.s., cl.,
r.w.; rep. from * 52 times more or for
length required to fit round neck, having
an even number of rs.
Tie ends, cut and over sew neatly on
wrong side.
2nd row: tie ball and shuttle threads
together, join to p. of first ch. on
previous row.
*Ch, of 5 d.s., p., 5 d.s., join by shuttle
thread to p. on next ch., rep. from * to
end. Tie ends, cut and over sew neatly
on wrong side.
3rd row: as 2nd row, having ch. of 6
d.s., p., 6 d.s.
4th row: as 2nd row, having ch. of

5th row: tie ball and shuttle threads
together, join to 7th p. to left of centre.
