Pom Pom Trimmed Blanket

A vintage pattern that shows how to create a knitted pom-pom trimmed blanket.

What you need

Patons Double Knitting Wool
3 2 oz (5O g) balls in each of 9 colours
One pair No.7 (4.5 mm) needles

Instructions

Size
About 50 in by 80 in (127 cm x 203 cm)

Tension
One square of 23 sts and 39 rows measures 5 inch (12cm)

Square

Using No. 7 needles cast on 23 sts. Work in garter st (every row knit) for 39 rows. Cast off.

To make up

Sew squares together on the wrong side. Make pompoms from leftover wool and sew on corners of squares as shown in the picture.
