Pepper! What is Pepper? I don't really know, but she is cute and unique looking too. Make this cute crochet doll with these simple directions.

Pepper – Crochet Pattern

What you need

Crochet hook size 4.00, worsted yarn body color and hair color, yarn needle for sewing,
stitch marker (I use a bobby pin), wiggly eyes, fiberfill stuffing, bow (optional)
finished size:
About 5" tall, not including legs and hair length

Gauge: 3 rows=1" 6sc=2"

Instructions

*NOTE* do not join rounds, use stitch marker and move it after each round is finished.

body, with body color:
the 2 body pieces are worked in rounds, the pieces will curl inward as you go, that is fine.
side 1:
rnd1: ch2, 6sc in 2nd ch, place marker (6sc)
rnd 2: *2sc* around (12sc)
rnd 3: *sc in next st, 2sc in next st* (18sc)
rnd 4: *sc in next 2sts, 2sc in next st* (24sc)
rnd 5: *sc in next 3sts, 2sc in next st* (30sc)
rnd 6: *sc in next 4sts, 2sc in next st* (36sc)
rnd 7: *sc in next 5sts, 2sc in next st* (42sc)
rnd 8: *sc in next 6sts, 2sc in next st* (48sc)
rnd 9: *sc in next 7sts, 2sc in next st* (54sc)
rnd 10: *sc in next 8sts, 2sc in next st* (60sc)

finish off

side 2: work same as side 1, but at end of round 10, do not finish off, instead join pieces together with sl st, ch 1, sc around, working thru both thicknesses to close body, before completely closing, stuff body with fiberfill.

finish off

arms:
with body color make 2:
ch11, 6sc in 2nd ch frm hook, sc across rem chs, finish off, leaving a long end for sewing to body

legs
with body color make 2:
ch 16, 6sc in 2nd ch frm hook, sc across rem chs, finish off, leaving a long end for sewing to body

Assembly:
attach legs and arms to each side of body.

hair (great for using up your scrap yarn here):

it’s almost like making a small wig:
take yarn, and cut several strips about 15″ long, I mean, alot of strips, like at least 50 or 60.

lay them flat together and take 1 strip of yarn, place it in the center and tie into a tight knot, this will be the crown or the center of her hair. Place this on the top of her head, sew it in place and attach ribbon if you want.

You can be creative, make a braid, attach ribbons, clips..etc.

For the face, either embroider eyes using yarn to the center of her face or glue wiggly eyes. embroider a mouth and nose.

Enjoy :)
