Lip Gloss – Chocolate Recipe

Lip Gloss – Chocolate Recipe

For this lip balm recipe you can use the cocoa butter or for a softer balm that is glossier on your lips, use a vaseline based lip gloss.

What you need

1 1/2 tsp of cocoa butter
1/2 tsp of coconut oil
1/8 tsp of vitamin E oil or Almond oil
4 small chocolate chips

Instructions

Melt the ingredients down using a low heat in a double boiler method. If you do not have a double boiler place a large bowl over the top of a pan of water, let the water heat up until the ingredients in the bowl begin to melt. Once the ingredients have melted mix together and pour into a suitable container such as an old lip gloss pot or baby food jar or small container.

Let it cool before applying to the lips. Ensure all containers are sterile by boiling them to prevent contamination of your lip loss.

If you wish to dye this balm you can use a cosmetic coloring available from home made body product supply stores. You can also use a small amount of store bought lipstick to tint the balm.

Comments

  1. Also, you can use chocolate milk powder if you love chocolate milk.

  2. You can use any cooking oil – doesn’t have to be coconut!

A word of caution – as this recipe has no hard waxes in it, it could melt in warmer temperatures, ie. in summer, or if left in a hot car, in the sun, etc.

  3. CHOCOLATE!!!I’LL MAKE IT RIGHT NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
