Comments

  1. The picture doesn’t match the pattern! The picture has 16 chain spaces around the doily while the pattern gives 18 chain spaces.

  2. I can’t believe that I’m as a beginner always is the first to point things like this out: the pattern doesn’t match the picture. The pattern makes 18 chain spaces around the doily, the picture only have 16 chainspaces.

  3. Does back thread mean backloops only or the one under the top two?

  4. I just made this and put it on my blog. I am very new to crochet and have been looking for an easy pattern. This was it. I didn’t do the picots and I ran out of yarn on the last row but I was just practicing and it turned out lovely. The next ones I make with the proper materials will be gifts. Thanks for a great, beginner pattern to something that I think is a lost art. I am very interested in learning more. Thanks!

  5. I liked this pattern. It was easy to follow for my first doily. Tho I did add 2 additional sc for each of the loops to make them a bit fuller looking. I also did 3 piccot on each loop for the last round. Thank you for sharing this!

  6. http://flic.kr/p/bLEECg That link contains a picture of the doily I crocheted from your pattern. Thank you so much!! It is so cute! I did not include the cluster stitches, as I decided later to not make the last round because I already liked the size it was, but next time I make it, I will definitely plan ahead better. Thanks again, hope you like the photo!!

  7. Easy instructions. Did you starch your finished doily?

  8. First time trying to make a doily. After hours of trying to find something that either I could see or that I could understand, I found this site and so far so good! I love it. Thank you so much!

  9. Also, how do you keep the edges from rolling in? I’m crocheting as loosely as I can.

  10. What is a “dbl tr”?

  11. easy to make project for beginners like me. Thank you.

  12. Easy to make but still very beautiful! It’s perfect for someone like me who’s never made a doily before.
