Instructions

Directions for Bunny:

First, make paper templates for each of the finger puppets. Do this by measuring out three 2 1/2-inch x 4-inch rectangles.

Within the first rectangular template, draw the bunny. Start by drawing a circle for the head, a rainbow shape for the body, and two flattened tear drops for the feat. Add long floppy ears.

Cut out the paper bunny template and trace onto the pink foam. Trace and cut out two bunnies for the front and the back of the finger puppet.

Cut whiskers from string or dental floss.

Glue the wiggle eyes and whiskers in place.

Draw the nose and mouth using permanent marker.

Cut two front paws from pink foam and glue to the body.

Squeeze a bead of glue along the outline of the backside of your bunny, excluding the bottom edge, which will remain open.

Press the decorated bunny onto the plain bunny to create the front and back of the puppet.

Directions for Lamb:

Within the second paper template, draw the lamb by outlining a small puffy cloud shape. Add two oblong ears and a square-ish face. Create the body like a larger cloud. Draw four rectangular legs.

Cut out the paper lamb template and trace onto the white foam. Trace and cut out two lambs for the front and the back of the finger puppet.

Draw the face and color the ears and hooves with black marker.

Squeeze a bead of glue along the outline of the backside of your lamb, excluding the bottom edge, which will remain open.

Press the decorated lamb onto the plain lamb to create the front and back of the puppet.

Directions for Chick:

Within the third rectangular template, draw the chick. Start by drawing a circle for the head. Add two little tufts to the top of the head. Then draw an egg shape for the body, but slightly pointed at the tail. For each wing, draw a heart and add an extra bump in the middle.

Cut out the paper chick template and trace onto the yellow foam. Trace and cut out two chicks for the front and the back of the finger puppet. Also trace and cut out the two foam wings.Cut a triangle from orange foam for the beak.

Glue on the wiggle eyes, the beak, and the flower sequin.

Glue the wings in place.

Make the legs and feet from the orange chenille stem and glue in place.

Squeeze a bead of glue along the outline of the backside of your chick, excluding the bottom edge, which will remain open.

Press the decorated chick onto the plain chick to create the front and back of the puppet.

All done!
