Coffee Filter Valentine Roses

Coffee Filter Valentine Roses

These coffee filter roses are perfect for Valentine's day and can be turned into a beautiful arrangement using a vintage teapot for that special person in your life.

What you need

Coffee Filters (around 20)
Scotch tape
Paint (craft paint), or colored markers
Red wrapper tissue or pink
Any kind of decorative tea cup or tea pot

Instructions

This project is suitable as a quick kids Valentine’s or Mother’s day project.

Place 3 coffee filters on top of each other.

Fold in half to make a triangle fold in fourths, then in eighths.

With the other hand… cup the flower, twist the end and scotch tape tightly.

You can dab either red or pink paint to make it look like a rose.

Comments

  1. THESE ARE BEAUTIFUL. I CAN’T WAIT TO GO HOME AND TRY IT. THANK YOU.

  2. I couldn’t figure it out so I just shoved them one at a time into my fist with the next wrapped around the first and so on. It worked! So much easier.

  3. I’ve read this several times and I cannot figure out when the tissue paper is used (sigh). Even without it, these are lovely.

  4. The directions could be a LOT clearer. A few more pictures would have been nice! And why do you need 20 filters when the roses are made with 3?

  5. Im in high school and every wednesday our group, AST (Association of Students for Tolerance) goes to the elderly home.
I was clueless on a craft to do with them, and this flower project saved me!
    Thank you so much!
I know they will enjoy it!

  6. Lovely!
