Coffee Cup Cozies: Crochet Pattern

Coffee Cup Cozies: Crochet Pattern

A great way to dress up your morning java. No more disposable sleeves for your cuppa. Make this cozy quickly with some scrap yarn.

What you need

crochet hook size 4.00, small amount of cotton yarn or worsted, whichever you prefer

Instructions

row 1: ch 12, hdc in 3rd ch and across, ch 2 turn (10 hdc)

rows 2-?: hdc across, ch 2 turn

continue row 2 until piece measures about 8″ across

You can add or take away rows here, depending on the size of your cup.

Fold your cozy in half, and work sc along end of rows to close shut, finish off here for a plain cozie.

OR for ruffles, do not finish off instead:

ch 1, and work sc evenly across end of rows, sl st to join

ch 3, work dc, ch 2, dc in same st

work *2dc, ch 2, 2dc in each st around*, sl st to join, finish off

Other finishing touches:

With eyelash yarn, or yarn of a different color, join with sl where you finished off after sewing the cozy closed and work sc around.

Enjoy 🙂

I love this idea, instead of wasting those other paper cozies, now I can have one that I will never have to throw away. What a great idea.

  2. Very Cute!
