Chuncky Crochet Teal Scarf With Fringe

Quick and easy crochet scarf with fringe. Easy enough for beginners.

What you need

Worsted weight yarn (Red Heart Love)
Crochet hook, 9 mm or 10.5 mm
Yarn needle

Instructions

Gauge is not important in this design.

Working with 2 strands of worsted yarn, and a size 9mm or 10.5mm hook:

Chain 12, (add more stitches for a wider scarf)  single crochet in the 2nd stitch from the hook, and in each stitch of the chain.

Chain 1 and turn, working in the back side of the stitch only, single crochet in each stitch across the row.

Repeat step 2 until the scarf is as long as wanted.  Fasten off, and weave yarn ends into the finished work.

OPTIONAL FRINGE:

For each fringe: cut 4 strands of yarn 2 times as long as the finished fringe.

Fold in half, insert the crochet hook into a stitch in the last row of stitches, pull the fold through, then pull the ends of the yarn through the loop.
