Chocolate Bath Truffles

Chocolate Bath Truffles

These bath truffles look divine and are fantastic for gift giving. They are a cross between a bath oil and a bath bomb but much more luxurious than either of them. The chocolate leaves your skin nourished and the smell is heavenly.

What you need

1 cup of Baking soda
3/4 cup Citric acid
1/4 cup of grated cocoa butter
1/4 cup of Cornstarch
1 tsp of cinnamon powder
1 tsp Chocolate flakes
15 drops chocolate fragrant oil
15 drops vanilla fragrant oil
200g of Dark Cooking Chocolate
Makes approx 10 truffles
Truffle Cases
Witch Hazel

Instructions

Mix all the ingredients together (excluding the 200 g of chocolate). Spray or drizzle the mix with a small amount of witch hazel or other moisture agent until it binds. Roll into small balls (like you would for real truffles).

Allow them to dry for 24 hours.

Take the balls and dip them into the cooled but still melted dark chocolate. Coat the balls quickly and set aside in the freezer until the chocolate sets. You can drizzle them with white chocolate or even coconut or chocolate sprinkles.

Finish off by placing them into truffle cases.

Add 1 truffle to running water for a lovely bath.

These truffles will last several months if not longer, but you will need to keep them wrapped up to avoid ants eating the chocolate coating. A cellophane bag would be sufficient.

Comments

  1. can you put chocolate on your skin

  2. the best ever. just be sure to tell friends and family that it is not to be eaten, for the bath only.

  3. “How healthy is it to sit in a pool of food products?” What do you think “milk and honey” type products are? I don’t mean the national brands (they use fake because it’s CHEAP), I mean high quality, homemade stuff.

  4. Yeast and bladder infections CAN be caused by a lot of things. If you’re prone to them, you shouldn’t be looking into “fancy” bath recipes in the first place.

  5. Weird.

  6. Real creative and so cute! Can’t wait 2 try it!

  7. lol…. how healthy is it to sit in a pool of food products?
Well how healthy is it to sit in a pool of chemicals, chemicals are in the water from the beginning, in all of the products we use….
    it’s no biggy!
ps- wipe away any rim stains with baby o

  8. How healthy is it to sit in a pool of food products? I would hate to think of the yeast and bladder infections this would lead to. Ants aren’t the only kind of bugs to eat this stuff up.

  9. mmm…they look good enough to eat! (of course i wouldn’t)I LOVE CHOCOLATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  10. i was wonder the shelf life of the balls. will they keep the shelf life better in the fridge

  11. The only difference to a bath bomb residue is the chocolate. You can simply wipe down the bath, It isnt as messy as Bath Oil.

  12. What kind of residue does this leave on the tub? Just wondering if it’s something that would be used more than once because of the potential mess it may leave behind.
