Carpenter Street Bag

What you need

Lana Grossa Yarns – Estivo, Rotunda, India Cotton – 1 ball each
Knitting Needles Size 10
Tapestry Needle
Crochet Hook

Instructions

Moss Stitch – Row 1 (RS) K1, P1 to end

Row 2 (WS) P1, K1 to end

Repeat rows 1 and 2 for moss stitch.

NOTE : Use one strand each Estivo and Rotunda throughout bag body and handles.

Body (make two):
With #10 needles and one strand each of Estivo and Rotunda held together, cast on 32 stitches. Work is moss stitch until work measures 7.5″ from beginning. Bind off firmly.

Handles:
With #10 needles and one strand each of Estivo and Rotunda held together, cast on 46 stitches. Knit every row for six rows. Bind off firmly.

Finishing:
With tapestry needle and Estivo, and with outsides of bag facing inside, sew up sides and bottom of bag. Weave in ends to inside of bag,

Sew handle to inside at side seams.

Using India Cotton, cut 64 strands 5″ long for fringe. Fold each fringe in half and insert with crochet hook to each stitch around top of bag.
