What you need

Chocolate bars
Printing paper
Clip art
Some Computer Imagery Skills

Instructions

You need to buy chocolate bar’s or sweets that the outside wrapper can be removed to expose the tinfoil wrapper.

The size of your project is going to depend on the size of your chocolate bar.

Remove the original paper wrapper and using a ruler measure out the overall size. Measure where the customized text or image will need to be.

Using these measurements setup a template either on a computer using a Word document or using a piece of photo copier paper.

If you are designing it on a computer then set your tabs to the correct size and start designing your image. If you are laying it out on paper then, glue your images down. Remember photocopying will make it black n white so don’t choose any images with a lot of detail as it will be lost. Ideally if you are using a photocopier to make your wrappers then stamps are a great way to create the designs.

We have placed some images below for you to use for your wrappers. Just re-size them then add your own text and graphics. Right click and save the image onto your hard drive.

NOTE: make sure you cut out and either glue the ingredients label onto your new wrapper or include it loose inside the wrapper. This way everyone is aware of the ingredients for allergies.

There is heaps of software on the market for candy bar wrappers which come complete with various templates. If you are planning on making a lot of wrappers or need some help designing templates then we recommend purchasing some software like that.

  1. wat kind of crap is this

  2. It is against the law to remove ANY food wapper especially if you are reselling. You have wrap over it. There is also no need to buy the candy foil. You can use plain kitchen foil. Just fold the orig. candy wrapper flaps; tape. Cut kitchen foil the size you need; cover the bar; tape it down. Then apply the wrapper.

  14. Please note that you need to keep original wrapper on the bars. You wrap the original with foil and then the wrapper you created. This is due to company and allergies issues.

  15. Just what I was looking for. Thanks

  16. Instructions are outdated. Wrappers for 1.55 ounce candy bars no longer have foil. You can use a small piece of tape, fold the corners in and the “flap” at each end, then wrap with paper backed foil, available online. Then apply label.

  19. Not to be insulting, but do some of you people even think things out before you ask these questions? Do you need every, single, solitary detail explained? Be daring, be bold, figure it out for yourself!

  20. Foil paper can be bought from cake suppliers or candy making suppliers. It is exactly the same as what the companies use.

  21. What foil paper should I use?

  22. Why use black & white? Why not? I too have a favor business, and when I do 50th anniversary, etc. I copy or scan the original wedding picture. They look great in black and white. Color pictures aren’t always the only way to go.

  23. why would anyone photo copy in black and white? use your color printer or color copier

The Hershey’s Nuggets and Nestle Treasures work great with standard mailing address labels 3/8″ or 1″ … Wrap the label over and you have a cute candy.

  25. babylamb says

I have a business making candy wrappers, DO NOT remove the original wrapper, Hershey especially does not allow it, it must stay intact to show the ingredients etc, you can wrap foil over the original wrapper, but these are called OVERWRAPS for that reason
