Bath Icecream – Basic

Bath Icecream – Basic

Bath Ice cream is just like a bath bomb with a different name. Because it's called ice cream you can have some fun with different scents. This recipe makes 7 medium sized Ice Cream balls.

What you need

1 1/4 cups of Baking soda or Bicarbonate of Soda
1/2 cup of Citric acid
2 tsp of Almond Oil or Apricot kernel oil
1/4 cup of Dried lavender
1/2-2 tbs Water
5 drops of Food coloring or Bath bomb mica

10-15 drops of  essential oil

Instructions

These balls look great stacked up in a large bowl with fake cardboard wafers among them. You are only limited by your imagination. Or add a scoop of ice cream to a sundae glass filled with bath salts, pop in a spoon for a fun sundae gift.

Combine the dry ingredients in bowl and stir until well mixed.

Drizzle in the almond oil and stir until mixture is moistened. Add more oil and fragrance and stir until well mixed.

Then add the water.

If mixture is crumbly then add more oil or a dash of water.

Roll the mixture into a ball using your hands or press it into a lightly oiled mold – such as a round bath bomb mold. You can also use an ice cream scoop to mold it. Let it slip out from the mold.

Put the ball on a sheet of wax paper and leave it to dry till it is hard. It may take several days.

To Use: Add 1 bomb to the bath under running water for a lovely fizzing relaxing bath.
