Angel Light Cover

What you need

ITEMS NEEDED:
MINI TREE LIGHT, NEEDLE, THREAD, SCISSORS, SEEDBEADS,
PEARL BEAD

Instructions

STEP ONE:
This is for front and back of angel have to do this piece twice; Thread on 4 pink seedbeads then 4 more and go back through first 4 pink beads and down through next 4 beads forming a group of 8 with 4 by 4. This is the ladder stitch; continue adding 4 pink beads until you have 9 ladders of 4.

STEP TWO:
Add using brick stitch which is adding a bead in between the beads of the 9 ladders, 9 pink seedbeads. Continue adding 9 beads until you reach 9 rows of 9 seedbeads then start your decrease so that it goes 9 beads then next row 8 beads, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2 and end with two pink seedbeads up top. Now do steps one and two over again so that you now have two pieces.
STEP THREE:
The wings: using ladder stitch again of two white seedbeads with 18 ladders.

STEP FOUR:
Now for top of wings on each side of piece this step must be done, on left and right side. Now using brick stitch add 5 white beads on left and right side for top wings then add another row of 4 on top of that then we can finish the bottom of wings.
Both again on left and right side start with 5 seedbeads under base ladder then
decrease rows till you get down to one.

STEP FIVE:
After sewing front and back of angel together and sewing the wings to the back of the angel; using the 6 mm white bead sew on top of angel then thread on 8 gold seedbeads go back through 4 of the 8 and back through the 6mm white bead tie off and your angel is done

  1. My great aunt made this in all one color (white) and it makes a charming tree topper. You could stuff her and put white Italian lights inside her skirt to make her glow. A very special angel that is not like all the store purchased ornaments.

  3. It would be cute for a persion that didn’t have alote of money, but it looks so hard, If you could afford a real one why go through all the trouble to make this one?
